Whether we like to admit it or not, stress is a part of our lives. No matter what your particular situation is, there will always be something that causes some level of stress.
And well we can’t always control what happens to us, we are fully capable of deciding how to react to it.
Today, we’ll go over three actionable ways to melt stress:
1. Exercise Regularly
Exercise is one of the best ways to melt stress.
For example, if you’ve had a stressful day at work, one of the best things you can do is head to the gym or track and have a workout. That’s a great way to melt stress, loosen up, and forget about your worries for an hour.
This is primarily thanks to the endorphins that get released during exercise. These opioid hormones primarily serve us by suppressing pain, but can also bring about feelings of euphoria.
2. Meditate
The ancient practice of mindfulness and focus has been around for millennia and has proven itself to be incredibly effective at melting stress and helping us become more present and calm.
If you’re feeling stressed out, sit on the floor for five minutes, and focus on your breath. There’s a good chance that you’ll feel much better after that.
3. Keep a Journal
Journaling is an incredible tactic we can employ to boost our happiness, melt some of our stress away, and become more optimistic.
This is primarily thanks to the fact that journaling shows us that we usually have plenty of things to be happy about.
One incredible way to take advantage of journaling and melt stress is to express gratitude. For example, you can sit down every evening for five to ten minutes and write down a few things you are grateful for - maybe something nice happened, or perhaps you got lucky.
Whatever these things might be, write them down - that’s a great way to see the good that’s happening in your life and melt some of the stress.
